When you create an account and use iCon, we collect:

• Email address and display name used to create your account
• Conference participation data (events joined, sessions viewed)
• Content you create: chat messages, video posts, and comments
• Reactions and likes you leave on content
• Profile information you choose to add
• Device information and usage data to improve app performance

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to operate and improve iCon:

• Authenticating your account and keeping it secure
• Delivering conference content, announcements, and schedules
• Enabling chat, video sharing, and attendee networking features
• Sending push notifications for new announcements (with your permission)
• Reviewing reported content to keep the community safe

Data Storage & Third Parties

iCon uses Firebase (Google) for authentication and data storage, and RevenueCat for in-app purchase processing. These services have their own privacy policies.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Your data is used only to provide the iCon service.

Content You Share

Chat messages, videos, and comments you post are visible to other attendees in the same conference. Organizers can view and moderate content within their events. You can delete your own messages and comments at any time.

Push Notifications

iCon may send push notifications for new conference announcements. You can disable these at any time in your device's notification settings.

Your Rights & Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. To delete your account, go to Profile → Delete Account within the app. This permanently removes your account and personal data from our systems.

You may also contact us to request a copy of your data or ask questions about how it is used.

Children's Privacy

iCon is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
